Main Character-Discuss what he/she is trying to achieve and how and why he/she is succeeding or failing.
Hi my name is Chesney. The main character in this book is trying to win the war.He thinks that all the running they are doing is useless because no one is attacking. They are not winning the battle.
My name is Casey. I think that the main character of the book, Henry Fleming, is very shy. While at the first camp stated in the book it says that Henry was alone all by himself by choice. The book also states that Henry also thinks a lot as well. He thinks about his home and his family, including the farm animals, and his mother. He also thinks about whether or not he would flee from the army. In fact, Henry ponders the thought so much that he asks some of his fellow men. Wishing that he can find another soul like him. These are the reasons that lead me to believe that the main character, Henry Fleming, is both shy and curious. I believe that Henry's goal so far in the story is to find another soldier like him, but i don't think he is succeeding.
Hi it's Chesney(: I completely agree with what you said. The main character is Henry Fleming. Also i do agree that Henry is wishing to find another soldier like him and he did choose to be alone.I also think Henry is a little stubborn by the way he keeps saying he is tired of running and says they should just stop.Henry is not succeeding to find another soldier like him.
Hey it's Casey again! And I still believe that Henry has not found another soldier like himself. He has gone through some tough times during these pages. Like when he witnessed his friend "The Tall Soldier" die right in front of him! That was harsh. I now believe that he may never find another soldier like himself because all of the soldiers he grows fond of usually go away, or he leaves them. This also leads me to believe that he is not as shy or reserved a i originally perceived him to be. When he loses "The Tall Soldier" you can definitely sense a sort of strong grief coming from Henry.
It's Chesney again.I also believe that Henry is not as shy as I thought he was towards the beginning of the story. It must have been very hard for him to watch his friend die right in front of him.
